We are very fortunate to have another cast member of TBHS appearing for an interview. Jayne-Marie, who appeared on the Dec. 26, 1978 episode of the TBHS in the Friday Night Fever sketch (uncredited) and was also one of the nurses who tended to Benny in the "private" hospital in the March 14, 1979, National Health Service sketch, has been chatting in the Hotel Splendide ezBoard with fans of TBHS. She was recently in the US and had a chance to meet up with Erik Larsen, webmaster of www.SueUpton.net. He offered her the invitation to join fans in the Hotel Splendide ezBoard. Special thanks to Tredder, a member of the Hotel Splendide ezBoard for submitting my usual quiz question to Jayne-Marie and thanks to Jayne for taking the time to answer them. Enjoy!

When did you start on the Benny Hill Show and what was it like working as an Angel?
I really don't remember, I think you guys know more than I, at this time. Working with Benny Hill was probably the best experience in my career. I learnt so much from him, in a short space of time. The only thing I remember fondly is having to get up at 5.00 a.m. in the freezing cold to start my journey to the set location.

Were you always interested in working in Show Business? Did you have other areas you were interested in working?
From about the age of 3, yes.

Which routines did you appear in? How long were you with the show?
I am not sure, but I think I did about 6 weeks.

Were you ever recognized as an Angel in public?
No, but afterwards when I had done more sitcom work, and particularly in my home town. We used to get fan mail though, sent through our agent.

Are you married or do you have any children?
I have 3 grown up children.

What kind of work did you do after the Benny Hill Show?
After, I did a lot of TV work, some films and tv commercials.

Did you have any close friendships with other Angels?
Not really, although I do remember working with Louise English and Sue Upton. I did become quite friendly at a later date with one of the Angels who had a little girl, who went on to become a part of the actual cast of the later Benny Hill Shows, but we met up after I had worked in the shows.

Have you been able to keep in touch with the other Angels?
No, I have no connection with any Angels now, but I would like to re-connect. Being a mother to 3 beautiful little girls did halt my career somewhat.

Would you be interested in being part of a Hill's Angels reunion?
Most definitely, it would be great to see how we are all doing now, or rather, what we are all doing now.

Are you surprised by the response of fans of Hill's Angels?
I was so surprised at the huge fan base there seems to be in The States, having just returned. Everyone BUT everyone knows about Benny Hill and they all also like his shows very very much. I hear not one negative response. I am very surprised that there is still an interest in us Angels, considering the time-span.

On behalf of your fans Jane, and Benny Hill fans everywhere, I just want to say thanks for this interview. A thanks also to Erik Larsen, Tredder and everyone in the Hotel Splendide ezBoard.
