The Benny Hill Show

One of Benny's greatest talents was his ability to portray so many characters and create so many expressions. I'm sure you will recognize many of these famous faces he used over the years. This page has a lot of small images so it may take a moment to load. Place your mouse cursor over each image for a description. If you have a favorite Benny Hill character you'd like to see here, just contact me and I can add it. Enjoy!

Benny as Roger Crook in 'The Crook Report'

Benny as Roger Crook in "The Crook Report"

Broadcast: February 8, 1989

The name was a pun on Roger Cook, a British investigative reporter whose "ambush journalism" style (and show title of The Cook Report) were parodied here. An irony in this sketch was the name of the ersatz production company in the sketch, "Bentral Television" - a play on both Hill's first name and ITV's Midlands franchise Central Television, for which Benny was slated to do a series of specials at the time of his death in 1992.
