Welcome to the Power Records Pages, celebrating the Legacy of Power Records.
This is a torrent of the Power Records that were very popular during the 1970's. There is plenty to explore here and I don't have list of everything but this should be quite complete. As the manager of the Power Records Pages, I don't have the time to add each of these to donwnloading sites so here is the whole she-bang. Naturally, if anything is missing feel free to post a comment and I will update or simply create another torrent.
Enjoy....
and please...
SEED!
Thanks, Captain Audio!
Many fans of The Power Records Pages may be wondering why their e-mails have not been answerd lately and why there have been no updates to the site recently. The reason is that I have made some important changes in my life and I no longer have the time to work on The Power Records Pages like I used to. I have gone back to school and I am looking for a new career in Office Administration. I am also working part time now at a call center and simply do not have the time to devote to the site that I once did. But don't worry, I will keep the site up where it is indefinitely and see no need to take it down. This site will continue for as long as possible. Updates will simply be much rarer than before. I do appreciate all of your emails and support over the years and feel free to drop me a line. Not all e-mails will get a response. If you do send me some kind of e-mail or update, please keep it small as I simply don't have the time that I did before. Again, thanks for all of your support and keep an eye on the site. Once in a while something may be put up, but that will depend on whether I feel that the update is worthwhile or that I have the time to add it. Thanks!
I had these hi-res scans passed along by Jim and Angie Rust. You can see a larger version of each image by clicking on the photos on the left. Thanks to Jim and Angie for the pics!
My brother Andrew has recorded all three of the Buena Vista Star Wars albums for your enjoyment. The files will need to be opened with a program like WinRar before you can listen to them. You need all four parts of the RAR archive for these files to work. If there are any problems opening these files let me know. Special thanks to Andrew for supplying these files. As usual, they are being hosted on www.mediafire.com. Andrew will be providing some cover scans for the LPs soon, so keep checking back. Enjoy!
The Star Wars Trilogy - Part 01.rar
The Star Wars Trilogy - Part 02.rar
The Star Wars Trilogy - Part 03.rar
The Star Wars Trilogy - Part 04.rar
I recently had a request to add these Fischer Price Superhero stories to the site. Although up to now I have stuck with Power Records, I decided that maybe it was time to add some material that was not Power Records. Thanks to Brett Culp for supplying these files and to my brother Andrew for uploading them to mediafire. Enjoy!
Batman & Robin - The Case of The Laughing Sphinx
Superman - From Krypton To Metropolis
The Justice Legue of America - Lunar Invaders
Wonder Woman - Cheetah On The Prowl
My brother Andrew recently got himself a good flatbed scanner and decided to add some more cool cover art to the site. We have the front and back covers of Batman, Volume 1 (8155), the cover art to the Book and Record of Star Trek (BR-522) and the front and back cover art for Superman (8211). If you click each of these images you will get a full size version of the covers in a new window. These are also added to the Cover Art page as well. Thanks to Andrew for these impressive scans. The full size image are quite large so slower connections may mean you will have to wait a few moments for the download. Enjoy!
My brother Andrew and I have decided to put down some of our memories and what lead to the creation of this site. Andrew's article is called Power Records Presents and I added my own to the page, Memories and The Making of This Site You can quickly jump to either of these articles with these links. These articles are on the Ramblings and Memories Page.
My brother has had this version of the Amazing Spider-Man and Friends (8146) record for quite some time. The album is a mono re-issue of the original album with a different cover art and the record does not include The Incredible Hulk At Bay. If you want a closer look, click the image and you can see a high quality scan of the cover in a new window. Thanks, Andrew.
Hello everyone. This is the first update for The Power Records Pages this year. My brother Andrew and I were planning on putting all of those Power Records Comic Books into .pdf files, but that seemed to be quite a daunting task. Then my brother learned about a program known as CDisplay Sequential Image Viewer which makes for an exceptional Comic Book Reader program. We now have an entire page of downloads for most of the Power Records comics that you are all so familiar with. Andrew encoded all of these images into .cbr files for your downloading and viewing enjoyment. Please let us know if there are any comics we have not added to the list, or pass along the images you may have found or scanned yourself to us. Andrew or myself can encode them as .cbr files or you can send the .cbr file to us if you like. Special thanks to my brother for this master stroke. Enjoy the Comics. Go to our new downloads page, CBR File downloads and start downloading them today. All of these files are being hosted on mediafire.
I was recently notified by the folks who have been providing the old Guestbook for The Power Records Pages, that they will be discontinuing their free Guestbook services very soon. I think however that I have found a suitable free online Guestbook service for people to continue posting to in the future. I have the old messages from the previous Guestbook posted in a Guestbook Archive. Hope you like the new Guestbook. A Special Thanks to Spin Guestbooks for all the service they provided over the years.
I have now added a new page where you can now download the Comic Books which came with many Power Records as .pdf files, which many fans of Power Records on the internet have created. These files have been gathered over the past several months from members of the Yahoo! Group, The Power Records Project. A special thanks to my brother Andrew for uploading these files. He is also going to be the one who does uploads for the site, now that he has a faster internet connection than myself. There are several pdf files ready for your viewing pleasure on the Downloads page for Comic Books. Enjoy!
The newer files which Andrew is posting to www.mediafire.com are better quality mp3 files than before. With a bit rate of 320kbps, you will notice a sound improvement in the files. They will however, take longer to download. This higher bitrate however, will only apply to those files which Andrew and I have created from our own copies of the records. Several files will remain at a lower bitrate, since they were created by others on the internet. A special thanks to Andrew for his contribution to the Power Records Pages.
Thanks to the resourcefulness of my brother Andrew, we now have an all-new album available for download, Gemini Man, as well as the complete Superman albums, Volume 1 and Volume 2. Thanks again to Andrew. Enjoy!
I recieve some photos of Power Records cover art by email from a certain person named 'Jay'. To view them you will need to click the links below and they should open in a new window. They are pretty nice. I like the Comic Book Ads the best. Check it out!
I have updated my links page and added many cool places I have gathered Power Records stuff from around the internet. What are you waiting for true believer, head to the links page now!
I just recieved an email from a Power Records fan who runs a site called Welcome to Maimone Digital. He has some Power Records images and audio which he has posted on www.yourfilelink.com. I am going to check out his audio and images and may even link to them here on this site. Special thanks to John Maimone.
A Power Records fan has passed along some very nice cover art which you will find on the Cover Art page. Covers include PR-10 Spider-Man: The Mark Of The Man-Wolf, PR-11 The Incredible Hulk At Bay, PR-12 Captain American & The Falcon: And A Phoenix Shall Arise, PR-13 The Fantastic Four: The Way It Began, PR-14 The Monster of Frankenstein, PR-15 Dracula: Terror In The Snow, PR-17 The Curse of The Werewolf, as well as two back cover advertisements. Special thanks to our annonymous donor of these covers!
I have taken the time to revise the website so that it will work properly in the latest version of Internet Explorer, IE 7. If you were here on Sunday, February 11, 2007, you may have had a hard time viewing the site, due to the maintenance. Apologies for any inconvenience. Let me know if you have any trouble with viewing the site in your browser. Thanks.
Most fans of Power Records are looking for Downloads of the audio files, so look no further. You can Download the files on my Downloads page or on my Power Records Plaza blog. Enjoy!
I finally decided that it was time to improve my Power Records Discorgraphy and upgrade it to a full site! The Site Map Page is where you will find all of the latest new. There are also several pages which display the cover art for all of the recordings. The site is also open to related materials like Peter Pan Records. All of the downloads will remain on the Power Records Plaza Blog for now. I may decide to add links to the downloads here later.
For a quick look at the latest news and developments you can look at the status bar on the Home Page. This requires Javascript turned on in your browser for it to become activated.
